Our response to COVID-19

What is the purpose of the CESAR® Hire My Dog™ program?
Our purpose is to make the world a more dog-friendly place. That’s why we started the Hire My Dog™ program — to help make offices pet-friendly, keeping people and pets together.
How can I use the CESAR® brand’s Hire My Dog™ Resume Builder Tool?
Since a great resume is the first thing needed to get hired, CESAR® is making that step easy for pets and parents with a Resume Builder Tool — a place to create resumes that play up the qualities their dogs offer the workplace. The pet resume can be emailed to, shared with and downloaded for employers as a fun way to encourage companies to offer more pet-friendly spaces. To create a resume for your dog, visit cesarhiremydog.com and follow the prompts.
What is BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™?
Mars Petcare introduced BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ in 2017. The program is designed to help communities become warm and welcoming for people and pets. The PETS WORK AT WORK™ Toolkit houses the information needed to help companies across America make the transition to a pet-friendly workplace by offering guidance on pet policies, a sample participant pledge and communications plan, legal and facility considerations, and tips to get company leadership approval for going pet-friendly.
Where does CESAR® dog-friendly workplace data come from?

We've partnered with known pet experts like Banfield, Waltham and the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program. The CESAR® brand fielded a survey to identify common trends among pet owners as they relate to the workplace. The survey found that dog owners recognize the benefits of being able to bring their pet to work, and in fact, 88% of co-workers agree that having pets in the workplace improves employee morale, with 67% of people agreeing that their pet actually makes them more productive. Even more people (79%) agree that pets improve workplace relationships, and a vast majority (85%) agree that having pets in the office gives them a greater work-life balance and improved personal satisfaction with their work (77%). The survey was conducted online and polled 1,004 U.S. adults ages 18 or older.

Why are the wet recipes changing?

Can I feed CESAR®️ wet food to my large breed dog?
Yes! CESAR® brand’s wet dog food, with the exception of SIMPLY CRAFTED™, is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance of adult dogs. SIMPLY CRAFTED™ should always be fed as a mix-in, topper or snack!
How do I store CESAR®️ products?
  • CESAR® Wet: Prior to opening, we recommend storing cans and plastic trays in a cool, dry environment. Once opened, the unused portion should be refrigerated and fed to your pet within three days.
  • CESAR® Dry: Store the bags of food in a cool, dry environment. Once opened, tightly roll down the top of the bag after each feeding. If the food is kept in a storage container, we recommend putting the entire bag in the container. When stored properly, the food will remain fresh until the Best By (BB) date printed on the package.
How do I read batch information and best before information?
  • CESAR® Wet: You will find the Best By (BB) date on the bottom of the cans, and side of the plastic trays. Following the letters BB, there’s a two-digit month, day and year expiration date. Example: If you see BB 02 2119, the food should be fed by Feb. 21, 2019.
  • CESAR® Dry: Towards the top of the package, you will find a Best By (BB) date. Following the words Best By, there’s a two-digit month, day and year expiration date. Example: If you see Best By 02 2119, the bag of food should be fed by Feb. 21, 2019.
My dog is picking out the orange and/or green pieces in the dry formula. Does this mean he is not getting a complete and balanced meal?
Each piece is 100% nutritionally complete and balanced for your dog. Rest assured, no matter which piece is your dog’s favorite, they are still getting a complete and balanced meal.
Is CESAR® packaging recyclable?
The wet plastic trays are a #7 plastic, and can be recycled where facilities exist. The dry dog food bags are not recyclable.
